These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the VidSquash mobile application ("the App") operated by Drizzling Bytes ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

VidSquash is a video compression application that helps you shrink video files to fit platform size limits (Discord, WhatsApp, iMessage, Email, etc.) and free up storage on your device. All processing happens locally on your iPhone using hardware-accelerated encoding.

2. Eligibility

The App is available to users of all ages. No account creation is required. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

4. Your Content

• You retain full ownership of all videos you compress using VidSquash.
• We do not access, copy, upload, or store your videos. All processing is performed locally on your device.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to compress and share any video you process with the App.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
• Redistribute or sublicense the App

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Compressed videos will meet specific quality or size requirements in all cases
• The App will be compatible with all video formats or devices

Important: When using the "Delete Original" or "Library Cleaner" features, original videos are permanently removed from your photo library. This action is irreversible. We strongly recommend reviewing the compressed output before deleting originals.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Drizzling Bytes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data or video files. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.

8. Availability and Changes

• We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time.
• The App does not require an internet connection for core functionality.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
