Drizzling Bytes ("we", "us", or "our") operates the VidSquash mobile application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

        Summary: VidSquash does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. All video
        compression happens entirely on your device. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
        Your videos never leave your iPhone.
    

1. Information We Collect

VidSquash does not collect any personal information. Specifically:

We do not collect your name, email address, or contact information.
We do not collect location data.
We do not collect device identifiers or advertising identifiers.
We do not use analytics or usage tracking.
We do not access your videos outside of the workflows you initiate.

2. Photo Library Access

VidSquash requests access to your photo library so you can:

Select videos to compress.
Scan your library for large videos to free up storage.
Save compressed videos back to your library.

Your photos and videos are accessed locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server.

3. On-Device Processing

All video compression is performed entirely on your device using hardware-accelerated encoding. No video data, metadata, or thumbnails are transmitted to any external server. The App does not require an internet connection to function.

4. Diagnostics and Support

Crash Reports: VidSquash does not use third-party crash reporting SDKs (like Firebase or Sentry). If the App crashes, Apple collects anonymized crash diagnostics via MetricKit and may share them with us through App Store Connect, as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. This only occurs when the app crashes.
Local Logs: The App stores scrubbed diagnostic logs on your device to help troubleshoot issues. These logs contain no file paths, video filenames, or personal data. They are never sent automatically — they are only shared with us if you manually choose to "Export Diagnostic Log" and send it to our support email.

5. Third-Party Services

Apple — The App Store handles app distribution and payments. Apple handles your payment information under their own Privacy Policy.

We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

6. Data Retention

Since we do not collect any data, there is nothing to retain. Compressed videos and app preferences are stored locally on your device and are removed when you delete the app.

7. Children's Privacy

VidSquash is suitable for users of all ages. We do not collect personal information from any user, including children under 13.

8. Your Rights

Since VidSquash does not collect or store personal data:

Access: There is no personal data held by us to access.
Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data and preferences.
Revoke access: You can revoke photo library access at any time in iOS Settings.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
