Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 12, 2026
Drizzling Bytes ("we", "us", or "our") operates the HEIC to JPG mobile application ("the App"). This Privacy
Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Summary: HEIC to JPG does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. All photo
conversion happens entirely on your device. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
Your photos never leave your iPhone.
1. Information We Collect
HEIC to JPG does not collect any personal information. Specifically:
- We do not collect your name, email address, or contact information.
- We do not collect location data.
- We do not collect device identifiers or advertising identifiers.
- We do not use analytics or usage tracking.
- We do not access your photos outside of the workflows you initiate.
2. Photo Library Access
HEIC to JPG requests access to your photo library so you can:
- Browse and select HEIC, HEIF, PNG, TIFF, and BMP photos to convert.
- Save converted JPG or PNG photos back to your photo library.
- Replace original HEIC files with converted JPG versions in your library.
- Delete original HEIC files from your library after conversion.
Your photos are accessed locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
3. On-Device Processing
All photo conversion is performed entirely on your device. No photo data, metadata, thumbnails, or EXIF
information is transmitted to any external server. The App does not require an internet connection to function.
EXIF metadata (dates, GPS coordinates, camera information) is preserved in converted photos but is never read,
collected, or transmitted by us.
4. Email and Sharing
The App offers features to share converted photos via email, AirDrop, or other sharing methods. When you use
these features:
- Email composition uses Apple's built-in mail composer. We do not access your email account, contacts, or
message content.
- AirDrop and Share Sheet use Apple's standard system sharing interface. We do not intercept or log any
sharing activity.
- Auto-batching for email splits photos by file size. The batch size threshold is stored locally in your
app preferences and is never transmitted.
5. Diagnostics and Support
- Crash Reports: HEIC to JPG does not use third-party crash reporting SDKs (like Firebase
or Sentry). If the App crashes, Apple collects anonymized crash diagnostics via MetricKit and may
share them with us through App Store Connect, as described in Apple's
Privacy Policy.
- Conversion History: The App stores a local record of which photos have been converted
(asset identifiers and file sizes). This data is stored entirely on your device, is not transmitted
anywhere, and is deleted when you clear conversion data or uninstall the app.
6. Third-Party Services
- Apple — The App Store handles app distribution and payments. Apple handles your payment
information under their own Privacy Policy.
We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
7. Data Storage and Retention
Since we do not collect any data, there is nothing to retain on our end. The following data is stored locally
on your device:
- App preferences: JPG quality, email batch size, and other settings.
- Conversion history: Records of converted photos (asset IDs, file sizes, dates).
- Temporary files: Converted photos are stored temporarily during the conversion workflow
and are cleaned up when you exit the conversion screen.
All locally stored data is removed when you uninstall the app.
8. Children's Privacy
HEIC to JPG is suitable for users of all ages. We do not collect personal information from any user, including
children under 13. The App complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) requirements by
not collecting any personal data.
9. International Users
Because all data processing occurs on your device and no personal data is collected or transmitted, the App
complies with applicable data protection regulations including GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and
CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act). There is no cross-border data transfer because no data leaves your
device.
10. Your Rights
Since HEIC to JPG does not collect or store personal data:
- Access: There is no personal data held by us to access.
- Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data and preferences.
- Revoke access: You can revoke photo library access at any time in iOS Settings >
Privacy & Security > Photos.
- Clear history: You can clear all conversion records from within the app via
Settings > Clear All Conversion Data.
11. Changes to This Policy

"Last updated" date at the top of this page.
